Satish Kaushik Death: When Satish Kaushik Asked A Pregnant Neena Gupta To Marry Him

Bollywood veteran actor and ace comedian Satish Kaushik passed away today after suffering a heart attack. He was in Delhi when he complained about feeling uneasy. On his way to the hospital, Satish breathed his last at 1:00 AM at midnight. On his demise, let`s take you down memory lane and recall some of his fond memories. Did you know, Satish Kaushik had once asked actress Neena Gupta to marry him?
In her autobiography, Neena Gupta reminisced fond memories from the movie `Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro` which starred Naseeruddin Shah, Ravi Baswani, and Satish Kaushik. Naming her autobiography `Sach Kahun Toh`, Neena Ji recalled an incident when the Mr. India actor asked her to marry him. Speaking about their decades-long friendship with Satish, the actress recalled when she was pregnant with cricketer Vivian Richards` child and the backlash she had to face.
It was Kaushik who extended a helping hand by suggesting Neena marry him and pass the child off as his post-marriage. Neena was unmarried at that time. Society and Bollywood judged her for being pregnant out of wedlock.
The Badhaai Ho actress even revealed in her book that Satish even said if the child is born with dark skin, she can simply say it is his and get away with it. Nobody would ever suspect a thing. Shortly after her autobiography was published, Satish Kaushik opened up about the same in an interview. He said only a few close friends knew about Neena Gupta`s pregnancy. The two have been friends since 1975 and he offered help to convey she isn`t alone.
Satish Kaushik`s demise left Bollywood in shock. Many stars like Anupam Kher, Kangana Ranaut, Abhsihek Bachchan, and Manoj Bajpayee among others mourned his death.
