Actors who have opened up about filming intimate scenes on set
In a recent interview on The Ellen Show, Euphoria star Jacob Elordi opens up how he felt while shooting the naked and sex scenes. He reveals that on set there was an intimacy coordinator, who made sure he was comfortable every step of the way. He said it feels like getting naked in front of his family (which is weirder if you think about it).
The Fifty Shades of Grey actor Dakota Johnson opens up about how she had to glue undergarments to her body. "I had these sort of strapless thongs that had glue on them. It's not glue, but it's sticky. They're, like, basically if it were a nipple pastie, but underwear. But it's only sticky at the top, it's not sticky the whole way. It would also come off because the adhesive would wear out, so then they would super glue it to my body so that it wouldn't fall off. And I would wear two of them," says Dakota.
Netflix’s Bridgeton actor Jonathan Bailey reveals that the process of sex scenes have been different from season one and season two. The intimacy coordinator of the show, Lizzy brought props to keep the actors even more separated and minimum three layers between them.
Chris Pratt says that the male actors should take a stand with it comes to sex scenes. On several instances he makes sure that they are working in a closed set and the co-star is comfortable with what they are doing. "I don't want to make generalisations based on gender, but I feel the responsibility falls on me and I've been in that situation a couple times. Essentially it's your job to just minimise the discomfort by, you know, making sure there's nobody else on set than is required” He added, ”For all the sense of anxiety that comes leading up to a scene like this, you get into it and you realise there's really nothing sexy about it at all. It's just really awkward." Chris explained in an interview.
Blake Lively told a source,that the sex scenes aren’t always saved for later. Sometimes they get shot during the first. While filming The Town with Ben Affleck, she reveals that the sex scene was shot on the first day and was good ice breaker.
