In a shocking blow to actress Rhea Chakraborty, the CBI has opposed giving her any relief in the lookout circular (LOC) issued by the agency against her. She had approached the Bombay High Court in this regard. This comes as a major blow to her and her brother Showik Chakraborty, who are facing some serious charges in a drug case filed by the Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB) after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput in 2020.
Rhea Chakraborty became the center of attention after Sushant's untimely death in 2020. She faced a media trial for the past couple of years, and a lot of theories came up about her relationship with Sushant.
After the death of Sushant, an FIR was filed in Patna against her, which was then transferred to the CBI by the Supreme Court. The FIR was filed by Sushant Singh Rajput's father. During the CBI investigation that followed, the LOC was issued against her and her brother to restrict their mobility. Under the LOC, none of them can travel abroad, even if they get a permit from the court to do so.

However, the lawyers of Chakraborty told the court that there has been no further development in the case apart from registering the FIR. Neither was she summoned for questioning, nor was there any chargesheet filed.

Rhea had to make a trip to Dubai for some days for a brand endorsement. She was seeking the permission of the LOC for a few days. Previously, she was granted permission by the court to go abroad, but she couldn't go due to the LOC.
Sushant and Rhea were dating for a couple of years until his death in 2020. His death caused a wide uproar in the industry, with calls for boycotting Bollywood trending for months. Sushant's fans still seek justice for his death.
Meanwhile, Rhea Chakraborty has been away from the limelight for some time. She made a comeback as she became part of the TV show, MTV Roadies: Karm Ya Kaand. Previously, she has been part of films like Sonali Cable, Bank Chor, and Jalebi.
