This goes back to 2020, the COVID-19 era, when the Dil Bechara actor was found hanging in his Mumbai apartment. Fingers were pointed straight at the Jalebi actress for being involved in Sushant Singh Rajput's murder.

1. Abetement of SSR death

The actress was accused of abetting Sushant's suicide by his family. Rhea and SSR lived together in his Bandra apartment when his sister learned the actress was trying to blackmail him. According to Sushant's sister, Rhea threatened to make his medical bills and receipts public.

She even mentioned how the actress would go to any extent to prove Sushant was manic and would frame him for his secretary's suicide. Not only this, but Rhea was also charged with confining the actor and criminal breach of trust.

2. Rhea's controversial photos with Mahesh Bhatt

On the filmmaker's birthday, Rhea shared a series of pictures on social media that netizens found inappropriate. It stirred controversy about the two having an affair. Rhea and Bhatt were even compared to Bigg Boss 12 couple Jasleen Matharu and Anup Jalotia.

3. The Rhea Chakraborty controversy over money laundering

The Enforcement Director lodged a case of money laundering against the Roadies 19 gang leader. This was after Sushant Singh Rajput's father alleged fraud of Rs. 15 crore in his FIR.

In a statement, Sushant's father said, "In 2019, Sushant had Rs 17 crore in his account, but within months, Rs 15 crore was transferred to accounts not linked to him. It should be investigated how much of that money has been defrauded by Rhea and her associates."

4. Rhea Chakraboty's controversial arrest

The Narcotics Control Bureau alleged that the Half Girlfriend actress supplied drugs to SSR. Her brother, Showik Chakraborty, was in touch with several drug peddlers who were given to the Kai Po Che actor.

Rhea was arrested in September 2020 and kept in judicial custody until October. She was later granted bail by the Bombay High Court.
