Producer Suneel Darshan reveals secret behind Priyanka Chopra`s nose surgery
Priyanka Chopra has become a name that resonates with global domination. An outsider who started with the Miss India pageant went on to become one of the most successful actresses across the two worlds. But her journey to fame wasn`t easy.
One of her first few films, Andaaz, made her a household name. But that came with a cost, as the movie`s producer, Suneel Darshan, asked Priyanka Chopra to undergo nose surgery. He also recalled not being "immediately impressed" with how she looked.
The 2003 film also starred Akshay Kumar and Lara Dutta in the lead, with Johnny Lever and Maya Alagh in prominent characters.

The Bollywood producer sat down for a candid chat with Minutes of Masala, where he spilt some shocking yet interesting beans. He also recalled the first time he saw the Aitraaz actress.
“Before I did Andaaz, I did tell her that she should do something about the bridge of her nose," he said, adding that he was impressed when PeeCee acted on his advice and added, “She knew that that was due, and her father and her mother were such good doctors. It wasn’t an issue; they got it repaired immediately."

Priyanka later confirmed that the surgery was due to her sinus issue. She also admitted that the operation was messed up, nearly derailing her Bollywood launch.
Suneel Darshan also called the Desi Girl "conventionally not good looking" in her early days. However, it was Chopra`s confidence and alluring voice that made him bank on her.

A few years ago on The Howard Stern Show, the Heads of State actress opened up on how she felt when her nose job was botched. She recalled being depressed for a long time.
“The surgeons made mistakes during the procedure. This thing happens, and my face looks completely different, and I went into a deep, deep depression,” she said.
Priyanka Chopra`s mother, Madhu Chopra, also commented about that turbulent period of her life. In an interview with Pinkvilla, she said, “She (Priyanka) was upset, of course. She felt like, ‘I went for one thing and came back with another.’ But her father reassured her, saying, ‘There’s nothing we cannot fix. ‘Don’t worry; this is a very small thing.’”
On the work front, Priyanka Chopra was last seen in Heads Of State alongside Idris Elba and John Cena. The movie is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
