1. When A Fatwa Was Issues Against Sania Mirza
Almosta decade back, a fatwa (an official order or statement in Islamic law) was issues against the tennis player for wearing short skirts while playing the sport. She was a vitcim of many ruthless and sexist comments for her attire.
2. Sania Mirza And The Masjid Debacle
In 2007, a minority welfare department filed a complaint against Sania Mirza for shooting inside the masjid premises. Many locals and activists were raged by her act and protested against it.
