Heading right back to the 70s, this 2010 Vipul Shah flick saw Ash and Akki groove to the Holi beats in full form. The song Chhan Ke Mohalla is a fun, young and energy-filled track depicting all the nakhras of a young gal to the best! So beware of the ladies this time on!
Haule Haule emerged as the biggest hit of 2008. Highlighting Shah Rukhs efforts to play Holi with wife Taani -Anushka Sharma, the festival plays an important part in the song. So, if youre looking for patching up with your loved one or trying to woo him/her, the song will tell you all!
With Sunidhi Chauhan crooning in the most unlikely fashion to Uff Yeh Holi, Hai Yeh Holi along with Anu Malik, the song was bound to take notice. Yet another Karan Johar flick showcasing the filmmakers love for Holi! An Indian coming-of-age romantic comedy film, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani made way for a Holi track Balam Pichkari with Deepika and Ranbir prancing around with pichkaari. The song had Aditya Roy Kapoor and Kalki too drinking bhaang.
Hmm now heres a tricky situation. A song that attained cult status and is a regular at every Holi bash, Rang Barse is a classic! An overdose of bhaang so to say! The song saw Amitabh get closer to Rekha instead of wife Jaya. While Silsila depicted infidelity at its best yet went on to win hearts, the song remains immortal! Moral of the song: If you need to keep some secrets, then stay away from the bhaang.
With "Ram" and "Leela" dancing away to Lahu Muh Lag Gaya, the song leaves behind all the ugly conflicts. Filled with gulaal and cheer, this number saw Deepika seducing Ranveer, the chemistry was intense!
2 States depicted sincere love in this colorful song. With Aejun Kapoor grooving to the tunes of Offo pursuing Alia Bhatt. The song is a welcome change in the film. Arjun seemingly taking complete advantage of the Holi chaos and expressing his love towards Alia and doing PDAs was a major hit of the times.
A festival graced with colours, Holi adds much joy to our lives each year. And Bollywood has been a true inspiration for celebrating the festive season to the hilt!
