From blockbuster fame to courtroom headlines, these South Indian celebrities faced legal heat for various reasons — from traffic violations to controversial remarks. The list includes big names from the Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam industries. Each incident grabbed media attention, proving stardom doesn’t make one immune to the law.

1. Vijay (Tamil Industry)
In 2021, an FIR was filed against actor Vijay and others for allegedly violating COVID-19 restrictions during the promotion of his film Master. A large gathering was seen in front of a theatre, violating protocols.
2. T. Rajendar (Tamil Industry)
An FIR was filed in 2022 for allegedly making derogatory remarks against women during a political speech, leading to protests and complaints by women’s rights groups.

3. Shwetha Menon (Malayalam Industry)
A case was registered against the Kalimannu actress for allegedly appearing in films and ads deemed “obscene and vulgar”. The complaint was filed in 2025 by a social activist in Kerala.

4. Srinivas (Telugu & Tamil Industry)
An FIR was filed against the playback singer in 2023 after a woman accused him of sexual harassment. Srinivas denied the allegations and called them baseless.
