Vicky Kaushal`s First Look Leaked From the Sets of Chhava; Fans Laud the Actor`s Versatility
The filming of the movie ‘Chhava’ by Laxman Utekar is currently underway. It`s a biopic about the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Shivaji Maharaj. The film stars Sam Bahadur actor Vicky Kaushal, and Pushpa actress Rashmika Mandanna. A few pictures from the sets of Chhava have been leaked online, showing Vicky Kaushal dressed as the great Maratha warrior.
It is being reported that the Raazi actor has been growing his beard and hair to resemble his film’s character, the great Sambhaji Maharaj. The pictures that went viral on the internet showed Vicky wearing a plain khadi kurta and dhoti, with his hair styled in a top bun. He wore a rudraksha mala on his chest and tied a red cloth around his waist.
Many fans were impressed by Vicky Kaushal’s dedication to his profession and commitment to the character he played. One fan commented, “Getting into the skin of any character...he is a true chameleon.”

‘Chhava’ is a biopic and period drama based on the life and achievements of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. While Vicky Kaushal will appear as Sambhaji Maharaja, Rashmika Mandanna will play his wife, Yesubai Bhonsale. Other actors like Ashutosh Rana, Divya Dutta, Kiran Karmarkar, Neelkanti Patekar, and Santosh Juvekar will play pivotal roles in the film. Akshaye Khanna will reportedly play the role of the antagonist, the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. The highly anticipated film is directed by Laxman Utekar. The director is known for making films like Luka Chuppi and Mimi.

A few weeks ago, the ‘Animal’ actress completed her shoot for Chhava. Rashmika took to her X handle to share her excitement about the upcoming film and wrote, “2 days ago was my wrap for छावा.. It took me two whole days to get myself to accept it.. This film is all love! The crew, The cast, The story, The costumes, The vibe, The sets, The visuals, The dialogues.. Everything!! Notably, Chhava will mark the second collaboration between Vicky Kaushal and Laxman Utekar. The two previously worked together on the 2023 film Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. The film starred Sara Ali Khan as the female lead, and it also became a surprise hit. Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock film is producing Chhava, and it’ll be in theatres on December 6, 2024.
