Canadian rapper Tommy Genesis has sparked a significant online firestorm after releasing her latest music video, ‘True Blue.’ The artist is facing accusations of cultural and religious insensitivity for visuals that many believe mock both Hindu and Christian beliefs, leading to widespread calls for the video`s removal.

My culture isn’t your aesthetic (sic)," one user wrote. Another expressed their disappointment, stating, “Man, I’m so disappointed with what you did with that cross in the video. That’s just straight-up disrespectful – and I’m not only talking about the licking (sic).”

The controversy is further fuelled by scenes where she provocatively licks a crucifix, a gesture that has been widely condemned as disrespectful by the Christian community. The backlash was swift and severe.
