Australia had to score 400 runs against India in order to win after their opponent's scorching first inning. David Warner scored 53 runs off of 39 balls, putting Australia on the verge of winning the match. But when it mattered most, Ravichandran Ashwin struck, ending Warner's inning.

Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer each scored 104 and 105 runs, respectively, to reach their 200-run partnership. Shreyas Iyer made a comeback with his ton after suffering from ongoing injuries. In just 90 balls, he scored 105 runs, including 11 fours and 3 sixes.

Other Indian hitters continued to bat after Gill and Iyer were dismissed. Surya Kumar Yadav scored a solid undefeated 72 runs in just 37 balls, and captain KL Rahul scored a rapid 52 runs in just 38 balls. Even Ishan Kishan contributed to India's total run total of 399 runs by scoring 31 runs in 18 deliveries.

Under KL Rahul's guidance, Team India was successful in securing the victory even in the second game against Australia. All Indian team members appear to be in good condition so far ahead of the ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023 preparations.
