Rising Punjabi-pop sensation, Jai Dhir announces the release of his much-anticipated debut Punjabi EP titled ‘LOVER BOY’, marking a significant step in his musical journey. After the release of several successful singles under his belt with ‘Mirza’, ‘Snap’ and a feature on Lost Stories’ EP ‘Marigold Soundsystem’, Jai brings a unique blend of Punjabi, R&B, and Pop sounds with his latest EP, showcasing his flair for writing captivating stories of love and longing through authentic and vulnerable Punjabi lyrics paired perfectly with his soulful vocals.
With a collection of five incredibly beautiful tracks, the EP captures love’s myriad emotions. Already teased with the releases of ‘Stay’ and ‘Don`t Go’, the EP also features tracks titled ‘Glimpse’, ‘Precious’ and ‘Simplicity’ on the tracklist. As the name of the EP suggests, Jai unleashes his ‘LOVER BOY’ side and spins the narrative of a lover who goes through a whirlwind of emotions in his romantic journey, focusing on feelings of longing, infatuation, sacrifice, and mostly love.
Sharing his thoughts on the release of his debut EP, Jai says, “Working on this EP has been an incredibly personal and fulfilling experience for me. ‘LOVER BOY’ has been in the works for a while and I am supremely excited (with some butterflies in my stomach) to put out my debut project out in the world. Each track has been crafted with so much attention and love with my brother Yoki in the studio, and I genuinely cannot wait for people to hear the full EP and let me know what they think.”
The EP is available for listening across leading streaming platforms along with a music video for ‘Stay’ already out on Jai’s official YouTube channel. ‘LOVER BOY’ promises to be a captivating collection of romantic tunes, presented as part of Jai’s musical evolution, establishing him as a formidable force in the music industry. Jai has also collaborated with international pop icon Jay Sean on his track which is also set for release this month.
