Akshay Kumar is one of the few Bollywood celebs who has been actively reaching out and helping frontline warriors who are facing major health scares while keeping citizens safe and sound, amidst the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic.
In an unprecedented move, the actor has now extended a helping hand to the Mumbai Police and has donated over 1000 wrist bands which help in detecting COVID 19 symptoms. These wrist bands help in tracking vitals from body temperature, heart rate, blood pressure and sleep. The Mumbai police force has been the most affected by the virus with several cases surfacing on a daily basis. They will be the first organisation in the world enabled to remotely track and manage the health of its personnel via the brand’s preventive health platform.
These bands will be available in phases in India and on an immediate basis for the frontline workers, government officials and private officials.
Keeping in mind PM Narendra Modi’s call of ‘Be Vocal about Local’ #AtmaNirbharBharat, the brand for which Kumar is the brand ambassador of, is also evaluating manufacturing options in India. Soon, these bands will be available for the public across leading online retail stores.
