Sikandar Box Office Collection Day 8
Salman Khan`s highly anticipated Eid release, Sikandar, co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, arrived in theatres with expectations soaring. However, the film experienced a surprisingly lukewarm response at the box office, missing the usual frenzy associated with a Salman Khan Eid spectacle. Despite the slower start, the action entertainer has now achieved a significant milestone.
The film, directed by A.R. Murugadoss, initially opened with a domestic gross of Rs 26 crore on March 30 and saw a jump to Rs 29 crore on Eid day. However, its earnings saw a noticeable dip after the holiday buzz faded. While the second weekend brought a slight uptick, with Rs 4 crore on Saturday and Rs 4.50 crore on Sunday, the single-digit daily earnings remained unusual for a Salman Khan film. By the end of its first weekend, Sikandar had accumulated Rs 90.25 crore domestically. Its total gross collection in India now stands at Rs 116.15 crores.
On the global stage, Sikandar is performing better, steadily moving towards the Rs 200 crore mark worldwide. According to Sacnilk, the film has grossed Rs 161.5 crores globally, with Rs 45.35 crores coming from overseas markets. The film`s producers, Nadiadwala and Grandson, celebrated the film`s performance on Instagram, sharing an official worldwide collection figure of Rs 187.84 crores.
