Shabaash Mithu Trailer: Taapsee Pannu As Mithali Raj Gives Her All In This Inspirational Biopic

Shabaash Mithu`s trailer is finally out on Youtube after a long wait. In the trailer, Taapsee is seen brilliantly portraying Mithali Raj, the legendary Indian cricketer. The trailer is unveiled by former Indian cricket legend and current BCCI President Sourav Ganguly. The trailer encapsulates the theme of `Nazariya badlo, Khel badalgaya.` The film is helmed by Srijit Mukherji and produced by Viacom18 Studios.
Taapsee Pannu in her Instagram post revealed that the biopic will be released in theatres on July 15. The actress listed Mithali’s achievements and wrote, “Some personalities and their achievements are genders agnostic. You changed the game, now it’s our turn to change the perspective! Etched in history OUR CAPTAIN forever @mithaliraj On to the next innings of life."
Mithali Raj is a former Indian captain who is a part of the Indian Cricket Team for the last 23 years. During this time, she set numerous records and scored 10,000 runs in one-day internationals. Recently she declared her retirement from cricket. Shabaash Mithu is a film about an eight-year-old girl who enjoys playing cricket but is bullied by everyone except her instructor. Despite the trolls, she remains firm against her own society`s conflicts. The film follows her rise to fame as a renowned cricketer and a role model for billions of girls and women throughout the world. Vijay Raaz will imbibe in the coach.
