Laila Main Laila: Even Sunny Leone cannot save this dull recreation

Following much hype and anxiety ever since the first look of the song was released, the makers of ‘Raees’ unveiled the recreated track of ‘Laila Main Laila’. Featuring an extremely sizzling Sunny Leone, the song is a bar number which also sees an appearance from Shah Rukh Khan aka Raees himself. But sadly, the song fails to get you grooving or even has you hooked, unlike the delightful original from ‘Qurbani’ featuring Zeenat Aman. No doubt, Sunny looks like a million bucks in the song, but the composition by Ram Sampath and the unimpressive vocals by singer Pawni Pandey letdown, what could’ve been a major highlight of the film. Directed by Rahul Dholakia, ‘Raees’ also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mahira Khan. Produced by Excel Entertainment and Red Chillies Entertainment, the movie releases on January 25th, 2017.
