Since the confirmation of the release date for the highly anticipated film 'Pushpa: The Rule' back in January, fans have been waiting eagerly for updates on the film. In a recent update, it was reported that 'Devara: Part 1' actress Janhvi Kapoor is set to appear in the upcoming Pushpa sequel.

The news going around is that the makers of the film approached Janhvi Kapoor for a dance number in the upcoming film alongside the national film award winner Allu Arjun.

While Pushpa: The Rise featured Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the hit item number 'Oo Antava', the upcoming sequel could possibly feature the talented Janhvi Kapoor in another hit item number.

The song 'Oo Antava' garnered over a billion views on music streaming platforms and YouTube, and fans are expecting a similar hit, if not better, to be included in Pushpa: The Rule. And to think that the late Sridevi's daughter, Janvhi Kapoor, could be a part of such a blockbuster franchise!

More About Pushpa: The Rule

The second film in the Pushpa franchise will hit theatres on August 15, 2024. The film will star Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles and Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Sunil, and others in supporting roles.

The film is being directed by Sukumar, and this film will be the fourth collaboration between Allu Arjun and Sukumar after the Arya franchise and Pushpa: The Rise.

While talking about the highly anticipated film, leading lady Rashmika Mandanna shared that the sequel will be even grander than the first movie.

She shared, 'One thing I am going to promise is that it's going to be massive. We are halfway through. We were just shooting a massive song sequence, and when I go back, I will be shooting another song.'

Janhvi Kapoor on the Work Front

Fans of Janhvi Kapoor can rest assured that they'll be seeing a lot from the actress in the coming year. Janhvi will next appear in 'Devara: Part 1' alongside Jr. NTR, marking her debut in the Telugu film industry.

The film will be released later this year, in October. Apart from this, it was recently announced that Janhvi will also star as a female lead alongside Ram Charan in his upcoming movie, temporarily titled RC16. This film will be directed by Buchi Babu Sana.
