Amjad Ali Khan performed at the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony in Norway along with sons Amaan and Ayaan in 2015. He also performed at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert that saw artistes like Laura Mvula, Steven Tyler, and Queen Latifa et al on stage.

The music aces wife Subhalakshmi Khan has been a prominent promoter of the classical dance form Bharatnatyam.

In the year 1990, a Gulzar directed documentary film made on the life of Amjad Ali Khan won the prestigious Filmfare award.

Throughout his career, Mr. Khan has won an array of accolades like Sarod Samraat, Padmashree Award, UNESCO Award, Padma Bhushan, Sangeet Natak Academy Award, Tansen Award and Kala Ratna.

The year 2008 saw him nominated at the Grammy Awards under the best traditional world music album category. He was nominated for his album Ancient Sounds, with Iraqi soloist Rahim Alhaj.

Amjad Ali Khan has two books to his credit- The world of Amjad Ali Khan by UBS Publishers released in 1995 and Abba-Gods Greatest Gift to us penned by his sons, Amaan and Ayaan Ali Khan in the year 2002.

The musicians name was incorporated in the International Directory of distinguished Leadership, 5th edition.
