The actress has joined forces with the man who gave her a big break once again to find that big comeback film that will put her firmly back on the Bollywood map. She will soon be seen in Sudhir Mishras next project Dhruv, where she plays a power-broker.
Despite being well in demand, Singh took a break from acting from 2005 to 2008. In 2008, she made an attempt to return to the big screen in a rom com with Sanjay Suri in Sorry Bhai. But unfortunately the film failed to make a mark.
That film turned Chitrangada overnight into a sensation! She got wide acclaim from all sections of the demographic as well as international media. But just when the world thought she could take her career to even greater heights, the actress took a sabbatical.
She was then quickly snapped up by noted filmmaker Sudhir Mishra for his movie Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi in 2003.
