Directed by Ram Madhvani, Dhamaka as the title promises, is set to be a film with a whole lot of emotion, thrills and drama.
The upcoming film stars Kartik Aaryan, Mrunal Thakur, Amruta Subhash, Vikas Kumar and Vishwajeet Pradhan in prominent roles. In the film, Aaryan plays the character of an ambitious ex television news anchor, Arjun Pathak who is given another chance to go live on the prime time television. On his radio show, he receives a call from a terrorist Raghuveer Mhata, who threatens to blow up the Mumbai Sea Link. In order to increase ratings of his show, he decides to take an exclusive interview with the terrorist. Little does he know the consequences of this interview will change his life.
During the course of the on-air interview, the terrorist demands the journalist to place a call and connect him to a minister Jaidev Patel, seeking an apology or else the consequences would be fatal. The trailer also shows a segment of Pathak’s wife Saumya (Mrunal Thakur), reporting on-ground from the Sea Link, while Pathak negotiates with the terrorist. Directed by Ram Madhvani of 'Neerja' and the digital show 'Aarya' fame, the action-packed film is set to premiere on November 19th, 2021 on the streaming giant Netflix.
