Dates announced, line up announced, ticket links live, the happiest music festival of the country Bacardi NH7 Weekender is set to return to the Mahalaxmi Grounds in Pune from 25-27 November. Headlined by the likes of American alt folk band The Lumineers, American rapper J.I.D, Swedish Jazz fusion act Dirty Loops and supported by festival favourites Tejas, Parekh and Singh, The F16s the line up for the festival has received a mixed reaction from people on social media. Along with the seasoned musicians on display at the music festival will be a bunch of first time performers. Here`s a list of some of the debutants at the Bacardi NH7 Weekender 2022 in Pune

 

VelvetMeetsATimeTraveller

Starting as a college band in 2018 the post rock/alternative rock band from Kolkata has progressed by leaps and bounds in the Indian indie music space. Comprising of bassist-vocalist Debdeep Das, guitarist-vocalist Suan Mung Khaute, keyboards-vocalist Parvez Mallick and drummer Atri Sengupta, VelvetMeetsATimeTraveller`s latest release was Mizpah.

 

Gouri and Aksha

The singer songwriter harmony duo from Mumbai dabbling into pop and soul music broke into the indie scene in 2019. Having opened for country singer Damien Rice at a Sofar event the duo has performed in Japan and the US. Their soothing soundscape and pristine production make them a must listen at this years NH7 Weekender.

 

Fox In The Garden

Brainchild of vocalist Soutrik Chakraborty aka Zico, the dream pop band boats of a powerful lineup. Along with Zico the band features bassist Shalom Benjamin, guitarist Utkarsh Jaiswal, drummer Suyash Medh and keyboardist Ishan Lal. They dropped their debut album Sunny Boy in 2020.

 

Wild Wild Women

The all woman Mumbai hip hop collective comprising of Krantinaari, Pratika, JQueen, Hashtagpretty and MC Mahila have powerful lyrics and vibrant energy in their arsenal. Their debut single I Do It For Hip Hop chronicles the journey of the group and their love for everything hip hop. Infectious, powerful and unique the collective`s music stands out in a field mostly dominated by men.

Karshni

Pune based singer songwriter Karshni Nair has been performing for quite some time. The pandemic saw the 23 yeard old writing songs on fear, death and gender, and now she`s raring to unleash all of her creations on stage.
