Box Office Collection: 102 Not Out Stands Strong Despite Weak Buzz

As ‘102 Not Out’ was gearing towards release date, cynics were skeptical about its performance at the box-office as there wasn’t much pre-release buzz that was generated nor was the music trending at the top of the charts. But the star-power of Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor, and the relatable storyline of relationships pulled in the family audiences ensuring that ‘102 Not Out’ saw a great start at the box-office. Despite clashing with Rajkummar Rao’s critically acclaimed ‘Omerta’, the film enjoyed a great first weekend at the box-office, minting in over 27 crores in the first weekend. Directed by Umesh Shukla, ‘102 Not Out’ is an unusual love story of a father and son relationship that saw Bachchan and Kapoor team up after a gap of 27 years.
