According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, reliable sources have stated that the digital releases of Ajay Devgn-starrer ‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’, Akshay Kumar-Kiara Advani starrer ‘Laxxmi Bomb’ and Abhishek Bachchan-starrer ‘The Big Bull’ have been rescheduled due to the commencement of 2019’s Indian Premier League in the UAE which commences from September 19, 2020 and will be streamed on television as well as Disney+Hotstar.
A source confirming the same has commented, “IPL is one of the biggest events in India, and they don’t want to dilute the impact of films by releasing them on the same platform in the midst of IPL. Hence, after several meetings, they decided on holding them back until November”
Besides, all three films are still in the midst of post production which will be completed only in October. Hence, these films will subsequently be released between November and December. The films were announced as part of Disney+Hotstar’s Disney Multiplex line-up which witnessed the digital showcase of major Hindi films such as, ‘Dil Bechara’, ‘Khuda Haafiz’, ‘Lootcase’ and ‘Sadak 2’.
