Know Everything About Dara Singh Khurana, Actor Appointed As Commonwealth Year Of Youth Champion
After winning Mr. India International 2017, Darasingh Khurana went on to become one of the most successful models in showbiz. He became the face for many reputed designers and brands to promote their couture.
In 2023, he made his Punjabi movie debut with Bai Ji Kuttange alongside Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu. Recently, he also made his South debut with the Malayalam film Bandra. Now, Darasingh Khurana is gearing up for his Hindi film debut, Kaagaz 2. It also stars the actors Satish Kaushik and Anupam Kher.
Other than on the ramp and screen, he`s one of the few actors who is leading by example for today`s youth. Recognizing his work, Darasingh has been appointed Commonwealth Year of Youth Champion 2024, thus becoming the first Asian and second person across the globe after the UK`s Prince Edward.
He was officially appointed by the Commonwealth Secretary-General, The Rt Hon Patricia Scotland KC. Talking about Khurana`s work, the Secretary General acknowledged and appreciated his commitment to youth empowerment.

The honor came as a sweet surprise for Darasingh Khurana. He was under the impression of being appointed as the Ambassador for Commonwealth India.
Speaking on the same, the actor said, “After my meeting with the Secretary-General, Rt Hon Patricia, I thought that I was being considered to be appointed more like an Ambassador for Commonwealth India, but I had no idea that it would be the `Year of Youth Champion` out of all the 56 member countries.”
Now that he has been appointed as the Year of Youth Champion, Khurana is quite excited to take on his new role.

Under this new title of Year of Youth Champion, Darasingh Khurana will play a crucial role as a high-profile spokesperson, advocate, and person of influence. He will also be guiding and inspiring meaningful courses of action for today`s youth.
He will also be contributing to youth development and empowerment across the Commonwealth. The actor will also closely collaborate with key stakeholders, participate in significant events, and be an active part of policy discussions shaping the youth`s future in Commonwealth member countries.
Darasingh is keen on working closely with the Secretary General to discuss some phenomenal ideas.
“The most important prospect behind this association is the vision of Secretary General Rt Hon Patricia Scotland. I had the privilege of sharing a stage with her recently at an event, after which we spent two days sharing ideas, experiences, and vision boards," said the actor.
Darasingh further added, "During the process, I realized how focused the Secretary-General was. Her vision is to change the world for the better, and I certainly want to be playing a part in bringing about that change."
