Tahira Kashyap`s Breast Cancer relapses
Filmmaker and writer Tahira Kashyap shared the most heartbreaking news of her breast cancer relapsing after six years. For the uninitiated, Tahira, who is also Ayushmann Khurrana`s wife, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019. She underwent a mastectomy and fought the deadly disease with all her vigour.
Just when the couple thought they had left the dreadful past behind, Tahira shared that her cancer had relapsed. However, she has still got it, and this time around, too, she will fight the disease and come out stronger.
She shared a heartfelt post on Instagram where she revealed her diagnosis. Ayushmann Khurrana commented on the same and wrote, "My hero," as he commended her never-give-up attitude.

The Bollywood actor got candid about how he felt when the doctors told them about his wife`s condition. He recalled the dreadful day and spoke about the same on a podcast started by Tahira Kashyap.

Ayushmann, on the `My Ex-Breast` podcast, said, "I was hiding behind a pillar, the security guy, and feeling terrible. We were together in Delhi when we got to know about it from a doctor; we didn`t know at all. There was a time when both of us were very vulnerable, sitting in a hospital. Again, you know people are asking for pictures where we were sitting by."

"We were together in this fight, but I was getting so inspired by her that she probably became stronger than me. She has a great presence. It doesn`t come from her hairstyle; it comes from her chanting, practice, the person she has become, her experiences in life, and the sum of everything."
Tahira Kashyap shared the news of her breast cancer relapse with an emotional note, which read, "Seven-year itch or the power of regular screening – it`s a perspective. I would like to go with the latter and suggest getting regular mammograms. Round 2 for me... I still got this."
Ayushmann Khurrana married his childhood sweetheart, Tahira. They started dating in high school and tied the knot on November 1, 2008. They share two children, son Virajveer and daughter Varushka.
