Bollywood and celebrity fights go hand-in-hand, thanks to some highly-opinionated actors who try to put up a fight with every person they remotely see. One such feud was between Alia Bhatt and Kangana Ranaut when the latter gave negative reviews for the former's performance in Gully Boy. Now, Randeep Hooda has finally opened up about supporting Alia and slammed the Queen actress.

Swatantra Veer Savarkar, sat down for a chat with Siddharth Kanan. In the interview, the actor opened up about many things, including voicing his support for Alia Bhatt.
For the uninitiated, the two actors worked together in Imtiaz Ali's Highway, a film that redefined Alia's career. Opening up about the infamous feud between the two actresses, the Highway actor said his co-star was 'unfairly' targeted.

The Jannat 2 actor is known for always being candid and speaking his mind. In the recent interview, Randeep was no different. He finally commented on supporting his Highway co-star when she was criticized by Kangana.
Speaking about his equation with the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani actress, he said, 'While making Highway, I developed a spiritual bond with Alia. I don't know if it's the same for her. That's up to her. I can only speak for myself. I have seen that she has always tried to do new things. I stood up for her genuinely because she was unfairly targeted.'

'To target your fellow actors, your colleagues, or your fraternity over things that you feel you did not get, even though I think you did get a lot from this industry, it's just unbecoming. I felt that I should do it, and I did it,'
Randeep Hooda further added.
Kangana Ranaut on Alia Bhatt's Gully Boy performance
In 2019, the Tanu Weds Manu actress opened up about her contemporary's performance in Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy. In the film, Alia is seen playing the role of Ranveer Singh's love interest, who supports him all the way to becoming a successful rapper.
Talking to the paparazzi, Kangana called Alia's performance'mediocre.' She said, 'I am embarrassed... What is there to beat in Gully Boy Performance... the same snappy muh phat girl?"

Reacting to her harsh comments,
Alia Bhatt graciously accepted her criticism and applauded the Queen actress for her honesty. Even back then, Randeep Hooda stood up for the Highway actress.
Taking it to Twitter (now known as X), the actor praised his co-star for her reaction and wrote, 'Dearest @aliaa08 I'm so glad you are not letting the opinions of very occasional actors and chronic victims affect you and your work. Kudos to you for your continued efforts to outdo yourself.'
