Randeep Hooda`s physical transformation for Veer Savarkar
Randeep Hooda is one of the few actors who is in love with his craft, so much so, that is has become an ordinary thing for him to go through an unrecognizable physical transformation.
What started with Sarbjit, the actor did it again for his directorial debut, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar.
The actor went to unimaginable lengths for this role, and the producer of the film confirmed the same. Anand Pandit, the producer, mentioned that the actor did everything to give justice to his portrayal of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar.
When Randeep Hooda lost 26 kgs to play Vinayak Damodar Savarkar
During an interview with a leading media agency, Pandit revealed that on one fine day, Sandeep Singh visited his office with Randeep Hooda, and they raised the idea of making a biopic of the brave freedom fighter Veer Savarkar.
He told that he was quite nervous in the beginning, Randeep started conveying how they were anticipating the film and he finalized the film with them in just one day.

The producer was also asked about Randeep`s journey of losing 18 kg for the pivotal role, but it shocked everyone that Randeep has not just lost 18 kg, but he astonishingly lost 26 kg to give justice to his role in Swatantra Veer Savarkar.
Anand further told how Randeep was 86 kg when he visited his office with Sandeep Singh and how his dedication to the character made him do anything and everything possible.
He disclosed that the actor had only 1 khajoor and 1 glass of milk for 4 months and he even followed an extreme diet until the shoot got over. Even Randeep shaved off his hair at the same portions where Veer Savarkar had no hair.
However, this wasn`t the first time the Jaat actor worked on his body to fit in a role. He drastically lost 18 kgs for his role in Sarbjit in only 28 days. On the contrary, he gained more muscle for his role in the 2014 release, Rang Rasiya.
May 28 marks 142nd birth anniversary of the great Indian patriot and leader Vinayak Damodar Savarkar aka Veer Savarkar.
