Parineeti Chopra is all set to finally come back to the movies after her grand wedding, which took place earlier this year. She is eventually getting back to work, as revealed in her recent Instagram post. Before her wedding, she had finished shooting for Chamkila, directed by Imtiaz Ali, which also stars Diljit Dosanjh. It is a biopic on the life of the Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila and his wife, Amarjot Chamkila.

In the video that she shared, where she can be seen hitting the gym to come back in shape after the weight gained for the shoot, she revealed details of some other things she has been doing.

In the caption, she wrote, "I spent 6 months last year singing in Rahman sir's studio and going back home to eat as much junk as I possibly could to put on 15 kilos for Chamkila! (Coming soon on Netflix.) Music and food That was my routine."

She added, "Now that the film is done, the story is the opposite. I miss the studio and work in the gym, trying to look like myself again. And not like Amarjot Ji! It's been hard. But anything for you, Imtiaz, sir! And this role."

Her comment section was filled with love being showered from everywhere as fans praised her for her dedication. One user wrote, "So proud of your dedication and perseverance! Every phase of life and career is important and must be tackled the way you do! With grit, determination, balance, and a head on your shoulders, Proud of you."

Parineeti Chopra was last seen in the Akshay Kumar starrer Mission Ranigunj, which was directed by Tinu Suresh Desai. It was based on the Ranigunj Coalfields collapse of 1989 in West Bengal.

Chamkila would prove to be a crucial film for her as it is helmed by Imtaiz Ali, who is known for writing strong female characters, and it will be just the film for Parineeti to bring her back to action.

Chamkila will be released in 2025 on Netflix.
