Karisma Kapoor and Children Fly to Delhi for Sunjay Kapur`s Final Rites

In a sombre turn of events, actress Karisma Kapoor made her first public appearance since the sudden demise of her ex-husband, industrialist Sunjay Kapur. She was seen at the Mumbai airport on Thursday morning with her children, Samaira and Kiaan, as they departed for Delhi to attend his last rites.
On Thursday morning, Karisma Kapoor was photographed at a private airport in Mumbai, presenting a picture of quiet grief. Dressed in a white suit, she was accompanied by her son Kiaan, who wore a white kurta-pyjama, and a glimpse of her daughter Samaira, also in white, was captured. The family made their way into the airport swiftly and silently. Shortly after, Karisma`s sister, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and brother-in-law, Saif Ali Khan, were also spotted arriving at the airport, presumably to join the family for the funeral.
Following the funeral, a prayer meeting is scheduled for June 22, from 4 PM to 5 PM at the Taj Palace Hotel in Delhi. A note regarding the prayer meeting, signed by his mother, Rani Surinder Kapur, wife, Priya Sachdev, and their children, also included the names of Samaira and Kiaan.
Sunjay Kapur and Karisma Kapoor were married in 2003 and divorced in 2016. He later married Priya Sachdev in 2017. His final social media posts included a condolence message for air crash victims and a philosophical note on progress, poignantly shared just days before his untimely death.

A Sudden and Tragic Loss
Sunjay Kapur passed away at the age of 53 after reportedly suffering a heart attack while playing polo in London on June 12. Initial reports suggest the heart attack may have been triggered by a bee sting, though an official confirmation on the cause of death is still awaited.
