Industrialist Srikanth Bolla to Serve as the New Shark on Shark Tank India

‘Shark Tank India’ has welcomed Srikanth Bolla, the founder and chairman of Bollant Industries, as its newest ‘shark.’ Entrepreneurs pitch their business models to a panel of investors on the show, hoping to secure investments.
In a preview of the upcoming episode, Bolla is seen sitting alongside the judges and posing with Jeet Adani, son of billionaire business tycoon Gautam Adani. He added, “I will just say one thing to all my fellow citizens: Don`t just think about your idea; act on it, or someone else will! Thank you for having me, Shark Tank India. This is just the beginning!”
Concluding his post, Bolla said, “So yes, I got an opportunity to become a shark on Shark Tank India. Being on the set made me realize that dreams aren’t just for thinkers—they`re for the doers! It was a blast meeting all these accomplished entrepreneurs on the panel and the pitches made were very inspiring — smelled innovation in the air.”

The company utilises municipal waste and soiled paper to create eco-friendly recycled Kraft paper. It also produces packaging materials from recycled paper, disposable products made from natural leaves, and repurposes plastic waste into functional goods.
Despite being visually impaired, Bolla has achieved remarkable success. He was featured on the Forbes 30 under 30 list and was one of the top scorers in Andhra Pradesh’s matriculation examinations, scoring 98 percent in class 12.

However, he was denied admission to multiple Indian engineering colleges, including the IITs. Undeterred, Bolla applied to international universities and became the first visually impaired student to enrol in the prestigious Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Bolla also excelled in sports, playing blind cricket at the national level and representing India in international chess. Upon returning to India in 2005, he took on the role of a Youth Leader in the Lead India Program, working to address poverty and unemployment while empowering over 800,000 young individuals.
His inspiring journey was depicted in a biopic released last year, starring Rajkummar Rao as Srikanth Bolla. The film is available for streaming on Netflix.

Bolla shared the news on social media, posting pictures from the set and writing, “To survive a pool of sharks, you need to become one yourself. To be honest, entrepreneurship in India has taken a very heartwarming boost because of Shark Tank.
