The trailer of Welcome To The Jungle is out, and fans cannot wait to see the rib-tickling comedy in theatres. A multi-starrer cast headlined by Akshay Kumar marks the third instalment of the infamous comedy franchise.
Apart from his impeccable comic timing, what trends with every Akshay Kumar film is the fee he charges for every project. It was no surprise when rumours of him charging a whopping 1.7 crore for Welcome To The Jungle took over the internet.
During the trailer launch, the actor commented on the same and clarified it was the story and the writer that mattered to him most.

Responding to a question asked by a reporter from India Today, Kumar said, “Maine utna bhi nahi liya hai. Mujhe utna bhi nahi mila. (I have not taken that much, and I have not even received the said amount)."

Addressing the speculation, he reiterated the importance of the script which has been written by the late writer Neeraj Vora.
Akshay added, "Ye film mere liye bahut important hai kyunki iski kahani Neeraj Vora ne likhi hai" (This film is important to me because the story was written by Neeraj Vora).
Recalling the people whom he was inspired by, the Phir Hera Pheri actor shared, "Maine hamesha apne interviews mein kaha hai ki comedy ke baare mein maine bahut kuch teen logon se seekha hai — Priyadarshan ji, Rajkumar Santoshi aur Neeraj Vora. Ye teen logon se maine bahut kuch seekha hai. Neeraj ka is film mein bahut bada yogdaan hai, kyunki ye kahani unki aur Firoz Nadiadwala ki hai. Main Firoz ko pichhle 36 saalon se jaanta hoon. Apne struggling dino mein main aksar unke paas jaaya karta tha."

The much-awaited film of the year has finally revealed the trailer, increasing the anticipation among moviegoers. It marks the third instalment of the infamous comedy franchise.
Unlike the previous two films, which see chaos within an urban city, this one is set across the backdrop of a jungle.
Akshay Kumar returns to the Welcome franchise after skipping the second instalment.
Alongside, the film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani and Tusshar Kapoor in prominent roles.
Helmed by Ahmed Khan, Welcome To The Jungle is all set to release on June 26 in cinemas near you.
