Akshay Kumar’s first look as EVIL in ‘Haiwaan’ out now! Chills on the way
Akshay Kumar is known for his comic timing and stunts in every movie he presents to the audience. However, this time he has something else in the box for everyone, and how! Akshay Kumar is set to play an evil role, LIKE NEVER BEOFRE in the upcoming thriller ‘Haiwaan’, directed by Priyadarshan.

Akshay Kumar recently took to his social media handle to share the first ever teaser of the upcoming suspense thriller ‘Haiwaan’. The teaser is like no other because the moment we listen to Akshay Kumar’s laugh, fans will be left stunned. This is the first time we will see out ace action hero in a role like this, adding yet another feather to the hat of talent.
While sharing the video with his fans on Instagram, he wrote, “HE hears the danger… I AM the danger ! Ab jeet kiski hogi? Hero ya Haiwaan? #Haiwaan - Teaser out now.”
While talking about his character with an entertainment and news portal, Akshay Kumar said, “As the title goes, I am playing Haiwaan and my character has no grey shades, he’s out and out evil. I always wanted to play a psycho on-screen. With my last four-five films, I have tried to switch between completely different genres: comedy, horror, action, drama. This is my first time playing evil in the truest sense. I like to constantly challenge myself and Haiwaan is that challenge for me”.
For the fans wondering how come Priyadarshan thought of Akshay in this role, the director said, “I saw Akshay casually wearing the beanie one day at the shoot of Bhooth Bangla, and I immediately liked the look. Him wearing it in Haiwaan was my idea. I remember I was narrating the story of Haiwaan to him one day, knowing he will not do it, and asked who does he think would do the role. I was shocked when he asked me ‘Can I do it?’ I also then thought I would have a different Akshay Kumar in my film, it will be a chance to see an actor’s potential.”
About ‘Haiwaan’
The teaser relies heavily on atmosphere, shadows and brief character moments to build curiosity around its central mystery. Saif Ali Khan is seen playing a blind man, walking with the help of a stick as the teaser gradually establishes an unsettling world around him. Akshay Kumar, meanwhile, appears in a noticeably darker and more mysterious avatar, keeping a close watch on Saif’s character.
