Begum Jaan: First look of Vidya Balan starrer out

After leaving her fans awestruck with her last performance in ‘Kahaani 2’, Vidya Balan is back in 2017 with ‘Begum Jaan’ as seen in the first look of the film. In the still, Balan can be seen smoking up a hookah as the head of a brothel as other woman look on. A remake of the Bengali film, ‘Rajkahani’, ‘Begum Jaan’ explores the lives of women in a brothel set in the post-partition phase. The movie’s music will be directed by Anu Malik and will have veteran singer Asha Bhosle croon a song for the musician after ten years. ‘Begum Jaan’ also stars Pallavi Sharda and Gauhar Khan and is slated for release on March 17th, 2017.
