The viral "kiss cam" moment had serious repercussions for those involved. Just a day after being placed on leave, Astronomer CEO Andy Byron resigned from his position. The US tech company announced his resignation in a LinkedIn post, stating that their "standards were not met recently."
The company`s statement emphasised their commitment to core values: "As stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met. Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted." Co-founder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy has since been appointed as interim CEO. Chris Martin later even expressed concern, saying, "Oh s**t, I hope we didn`t do something bad."
Meanwhile, AR Rahman continues his "Wonderment Tour," with upcoming performances across the US, Canada, and the United Kingdom, before concluding in India in November.
