Sitaare Zameen Par
Bollywood`s Mr. Perfectionist, Aamir Khan, who was last seen in Laal Singh Chaddha, is finally set to return to the silver screen. He will soon be seen in Sitaare Zameen Par, a spiritual sequel to his iconic 2007 film Taare Zameen Par. Revolving around specially abled kids, the film features Aamir as a basketball coach. While the trailer has left fans super excited, they may have to wait a little longer to watch the film.
Aamir Khan’s much-awaited return to the big screen with Sitaare Zameen Par is facing an unexpected hurdle just days ahead of its scheduled release. The film, which explores the uplifting story of specially-abled children guided by a determined coach, is yet to receive clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) due to a dispute over suggested cuts—raising questions about a possible delay.
A source said, “The CBFC has asked for two cuts. Aamir Khan feels the film should be passed without these cuts. He and director RS Prasanna have made the film with a lot of thought. Certain scenes and dialogues, when seen in context, seem completely appropriate."
They added, “With Aamir Khan not accepting the cuts, the censor certificate wasn’t awarded to Sitaare Zameen Par. Aamir now plans to once again meet the CBFC Examining Committee on Monday and put forward his point of view. Hopefully, a solution will be achieved, and the CBFC will pass the film on June 16. Once that’s done, the advance booking of the film will be thrown open. As per rules, cinemas can’t sell tickets in the absence of a censor certificate."

As per a report by Filmy View, Sitaare Zameen Par has a runtime of 2 hours and 35 minutes. Directed by RS Prasanna, the film marks Aamir Khan’s return to the big screen after a three-year break since Laal Singh Chaddha.
Fans are eagerly waiting to see if Aamir Khan and the CBFC can reach a consensus by June 16 to ensure a timely release for this highly anticipated film.
