Junaid Khan on Aamir Khan`s reaction to Ek Din failure
Not every star kid would see back-to-back commercial success, and Junaid Khan – Aamir Khan`s son – is one of them. His recent release, Ek Din, starring Sai Pallavi, was a major disaster at the box office.
The romantic drama portrays Khan as a shy guy who has a crush on his co-worker (Sai Pallavi). The story takes a drastic turn after the latter meets with an accident and suffers from transient global amnesia (TGA), remembering only Junaid saving her life.
Now, in a recent interview, the star kid opened up on his father, Aamir Khan`s, reaction to the film`s failure and how he has taken it rather personally.

In a recent conversation with Vickey Lalwani, the star kid shared, “Yaa, the film’s not done well. We were hopeful, but I guess it didn’t do well. Hota hai kabhi kabhi. It’s a film that I really liked and enjoyed. A lot of people did really like it, but I guess most people didn’t really like it. It happens sometimes.”
He said Aamir still gets affected deeply, even after seeing ups and downs throughout his career.
Junaid added, “He is still moping. Even after all these years, after seeing all of it, it still really bothers him. But he keeps himself busy and goes back out there and does it all over again. He takes a film’s failure very personally, especially when he likes the film.”
Released on May 1, Ek Din managed to collect about a crore on its first day. The film slowly declined through the weekend, reportedly earning only 5.44 crore worldwide.
Helmed by Mansoor Khan, the film also marked Sai Pallavi`s Bollywood debut.
On the work front, Junaid Khan will next be seen in Ragini MMS 3, backed by Ekta Kapoor. Reports suggest Nargis Fakhri will be romancing him in the third instalment of the horror-thriller franchise.
