Kangana Ranaut to play the lead in movie adaptation of One Indian Girl

Buzz has it that Kangana Ranaut is will be playing the lead character of the movie adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s One Indian Girl.
Apparently Kangana had read the manuscript of the book and was excited about the lead character, that she called up Bhagat to say that she would definitely want to be a part of the film if it’s ever made.
Confirming the development, Bhagat said, "Kangana is an icon, one of the finest actresses today. Stories and scripts mean a lot to her. She is known for her take on feminism and honest opinions, and for her to praise my book and want to do the film is a huge compliment. I am really thankful to her for joining me."
The actor will be launching the book on October 1st before leaving for her outdoor shoot to the US for Hansal Mehta’s Simran.
The National Award winning actor is likely to start shooting for the adaptation in the end of 2017.
