Baarish: First song from Half-Girlfriend traces the love story between Shraddha and the Rains

The first song from the Arjun Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor starrer ‘Half Girlfriend’ is out.
Titled ‘Baarish’, the video sees a smitten Arjun, who plays Madhav Jha in the film, watch his lady-love in question Riya Somani, played by Shraddha, embrace the rains.
One has to point out that Shraddha and the rains share a strange equation. Most of her films have a rain sequence serving as a backdrop either in a song or during a scene in the film.
Coming back to the song, the composition is pleasing to the ears backed with the beautiful vocals by Ash King and Shashaa Tirupati. Composed by Tanishk Bagchi, the words of the song have been penned by Bagchi himself and Arafat Mehmood.
Directed by Mohit Suri of ‘Aashiqui 2’ fame, ‘Half Girlfriend’ is a joint production by Balaji Motion Pictures, Suri himself and author Chetan Bhagat, who turns a first-time producer with the film.
Based on Bhagat’s novel by the same name, ‘Half Girlfriend’ releases in cinemas on May 19, 2017.
