Frontman Anand hates the name of the band as it is called Anand Bhaskar Collective which he feels will create an impression of him being vain and narcissistic. The name was kept purely because the music was originally intended to be just a studio initiative without any expectations of ABC becoming a live act.
ABC won the Best Rock Act Award at Radio City Freedom Awards 2015 in both the Jurys Choice and Popular Choice categories.
Their song Mera Safar got noticed almost two years after release when it featured on the wildly successful web series Official Chukyagiri produced by Arre.
Their song Faasle was chosen to be the soundtrack for Koi Dekh Lega a short film from the web series Love Shots which was produced by Y-Films, a division of Yash Raj Films.
ABCs first albums launch gig at High Spirits Pune, was their first stage performance ever.
ABC was initially supposed to be just a studio project as there was no stable line up for the band and frontman Anand Bhaskar never expected to play live music. Almost all songs in ‘Samsara’ -the debut album were recorded on a session’s basis. It was only towards the end of the production of ‘Samsara’ that a line up came together.
