Coldplay will perform three concerts in Navi Mumbai at the Dr. D.Y. Patil Stadium in Nerul on January 18, 19, and 21, as part of their Music of The Spheres World Tour. This is their first performance in India since 2016. Here are some important things you need to know:

Significant Traffic Management
Extensive traffic restrictions will be in place from 2 PM to 12 AM on each concert day. Heavy vehicles are banned from entering, travelling, or parking within the Navi Mumbai Police Commissionerate's jurisdiction, with exceptions for essential services. Commuters are advised to avoid roads near the stadium during these hours.
Enhanced Public Transportation
Recognising past logistical issues, significant effort has been put into improving public transport. This includes:
- Additional NMMT electric buses shuttling attendees from Nerul and Juinagar railway stations to the stadium.
- A special BookMyShow-partnered local train service connecting Goregaon to Nerul with stops at key locations.
- Cityflo private bus services from various locations like Goregaon, South Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Thane.

Designated Parking and Capacity
Temporary parking facilities have been arranged at multiple locations near the stadium, accommodating approximately 500 four-wheelers. The concerts are expected to draw crowds of around 70,000 fans per night, making it one of the largest events in the city’s recent history.
Focus on Sustainability
The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) is prioritising sustainability, aiming for a "zero-waste" event. This includes setting up temporary toilet facilities, deploying a special cleaning task force, and coordinating with local stakeholders to minimise disruptions and manage noise levels.
