Emerging Artist Tanishq Poddar Makes His Debut with Bollywood Hitmaker Sumeet Bellary on Dance-Pop Anthem ‘I’ll Stay Quiet’
18-year-old marks the beginning of his musical journey
Mumbai, October 2026: Assam-born singer Tanishq Poddar makes his debut in the Indian independent music scene with ‘I’ll Stay Quiet’, an English-language dance-pop and EDM single created with Bollywood composer and music director Sumeet Bellary and released via Viamonk Records on October 9, 2026.
Built around driving electronic beats and shimmering synth textures, the track combines upbeat dance-pop production with a more personal, introspective mood.
“There’s a version of this song that’s been in my head for a while now, and it feels surreal to be putting it out into the world finally,” says Tanishq. “I didn’t want my first release just to sound good; I wanted it to feel like me.”
For Tanishq, the single marks his first step as an artist. He plans to explore different sounds as he develops his musical identity and finds new ways to express himself.
“‘I’ll Stay Quiet’ is where it starts,” he adds. “It’s just the beginning, and there’s a lot more I want to say through my music.”
Sumeet Bellary Collaborates with a New Artist
The debut brings Tanishq together with Sumeet Bellary, whose Bollywood film credits include Fuddu, Fukrey Returns, Chhatriwali and Fukrey 3.
Bellary’s independent music work includes ‘Suhe Ve Vibe’ (2026), featuring Gandhharv Sachdeva and Debanjali B Joshi; ‘Mere Naal’, featuring Sumeet Bellary, Bhoomi Trivedi and Sammy; ‘Tu Hi Pyaar Hai Sahiba’, featuring Yashraj Kapil and Priscilla Mozhumannil; and ‘Kala Doria’ (Traditional Version), featuring vocalist Sangita.
Known for pairing strong melodies with modern production, Bellary helped shape the sound of Tanishq’s debut.
“Tanishq came in with a clear sense of what he wanted to say, and that made the process a pleasure,” says Bellary. “The song has a hook that stays with you and a feeling that’s honest, and that’s a rare combination in a debut. I’m excited for people to hear where he’s starting from.”

Trained in both Indian and Western vocal traditions, he combines technical training with a soft, expressive voice. With his debut English single, he begins his journey as an independent artist.
