Shirdi Sai Baba actor Sudhir Dalvi hospitalized due to Sepsis
Popular veteran actor Sudhir Dalvi, known for his role as Sai Baba in Manoj Kumar`s 1977 release Shirdi Sai Baba, has been hospitalised due to severe sepsis, a life-threatening condition that directly affects the vital body organs. He is 86 years old.
According to India, Today, the actor is currently admitted to Mumbai`s Lilavati Hospital. His family reached out to the film fraternity, requesting financial aid.
According to reports, Dalvi`s family has already paid around 10 lakh, but the further expenditure could shoot up to 15 lakh. His wife, Suhas Dalvi, shared that Sudhir was in extreme pain, lost mobility in his limbs, and was rushed to the hospital. He was kept in the ICU.

“That’s when we got to know it was a sepsis infection, which has affected all his joints. And since the infection is now in his blood, the recovery has been extremely slow. We never anticipated something like this to happen with us, and thus it’s emotionally and financially a tough time,” she said.
Riddhima Kapoor Sahni reaches out to the Dalvi family
Ranbir Kapoor`s sister and celebrity Riddhima extended a helping hand to the suffering family and contributed her share for the actor`s treatment. While the Dalvi family is at a critical juncture, some called Sahni`s act a `publicity stunt`.
On a paparazzo`s Instagram post, the star kid commented, "Done. Wishing him a speedy recovery." A troll replied to her comment and asked, "Why did you mention it here if you have helped... footage chahiye?"
Riddhima instantly hit back and wrote, "Everything in life is not about optics – helping someone in need and in whatever capacity you can is the biggest blessing."
Who is Sudhir Dalvi?
The veteran actor has worked in several Bollywood films like Apnapan, Karmayogi, Aasha, Aap Ke Deewane, Kranti, Gehrayee, Qayamat (1983), Souten, Karm Yudh, Hukumat, Kasam, Tirangaa, Khal Nayak, and English Babu Desi Mem, among others.
He also had an impressive career run on television with shows like Buniyaad, Ramayan, Bharat Ek Khoj, Mirza Ghalib, Chanakya, Junoon, Zed Horror Show, Jai Hanuman, Vishnu Puran and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
