Thalapathy Vijay has broken all records with his new film Leo, which left fans surprised. This much-awaited collaboration between director Lokesh Kanagaraj and Vijay has been loved by fans all over the world. So much so that the film has emerged as the top-grossing film at the global box office.

Leo managed to beat Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon as well on international markets. Leo collected around $44.2 million, while Killer of the Flower Moon collected over $44 million during the first weekend run at the theaters.

In four days, the film's worldwide box office collection has crossed the mark of 400 crore, which is remarkable. It was expected to collect over 40 crores this Sunday, but it surpassed expectations to collect over 41.5 crores. In India, the film has managed to do a business of over 181 crores. Vijay's film is a global blockbuster.

This is despite the film not running in the multiplex chain of PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis.

Vijay has taken the box office by storm with his action thriller. It tells the story of Parthi and his family living quietly in the hills when Parthi's violent past haunts them all.

It stars Vijay, Sanjay Dutt, Trisha, and Madonna Sebastian in important roles. It belongs to the Lokesh Cinematic Universe. Other films in the universe include Kaithi and Vikram.

On Sunday alone, the film did a business of over 28 crore in Tamil Nadu, where fans are showering the film with a lot of love. It made more than 8 crores in Kerela. It has also become the first Vijay film to do over 30 crore in just 4 days of its release.

As word of mouth grows, many more people are going to see the film, and it remains to be seen what kind of business it keeps doing. Along with this, it has received good reviews from critics who have also praised Vijay's performance and the innovative direction of Lokesh Kanagaraj.

This is Vijay's second release this year after Varisu, which was released in January. It is currently the 9th highest grossing film of 2023, which already had blockbusters like Jawan, Pathaan, and Gadar 2.
