Samyuktha & Anirudha Srikkanth tie the knot
Actress-model Samyuktha Shanmuganathan and former cricketer Anirudha Srikkanth have officially tied the knot in a modest, traditional Hindu ceremony, ending weeks of intense speculation from fans and media.
The wedding took place on Thursday, 27 November 2025, in Chennai, attended by close friends and family.
The bride looked resplendent in a gold-coloured saree paired with temple jewellery, while the groom complemented her in a gold-toned shirt and veshti (dhoti), reflecting a simple yet elegant aesthetic rooted in South Indian tradition.
The couple later shared photos from the ceremony on social media with the caption “27.11.2025” along with a ring and heart emoji.

The wedding marks a new beginning for both. Anirudha—the son of legendary cricketer Krishnamachari Srikkanth—previously played for the Chennai and Hyderabad in the Premier League and later became a sports commentator and YouTuber.
He was earlier married to model Aarti Venkatesh, a marriage that ended in divorce between 2012 and 2014.
Samyuktha, too, has had a previous marriage — to tech entrepreneur Karthik Shankar. They finalised their divorce earlier this year, in early 2025.
In a past interview, she had candidly said the marriage ended after she discovered her husband’s affair, which left her feeling “like my entire life was a lie.”
Rumours about Samyuktha and Anirudha’s relationship first ignited when, during this year’s Diwali celebrations, they shared a photo together — a move that ended speculation about their closeness but simultaneously sparked questions about a possible engagement.
Samyuktha had addressed the swirling rumours vaguely earlier, remarking, “Everything is on the internet. Whatever is there, is there.”
With heartfelt congratulations flooding in from fans, fellow actors, and well-wishers across social media, the newlywed couple now embarks on what many hope will be a joyful and fulfilling chapter in their lives.
