Stampede At Pushpa 2 Premiere Causes Death of a Woman, Two Others Injured

The much-anticipated midnight premiere of Pushpa 2 in Hyderabad took a tragic turn, leading to chaos and an untimely death. On December 4, the excitement outside Sandhya Theatre, located on RTC Cross Roads, turned deadly when a stampede-like situation unfolded. This unfortunate incident left one woman dead and two others injured, casting a shadow over what was meant to be a celebratory event for fans of the Pushpa franchise.
Amid the commotion, a 39-year-old woman named Revathi, who had come to watch the premiere with her husband Bhaskar and their two children, Sri Tej (9) and Sanvika (7), lost consciousness. Her son, Sri Tej, also fainted. A police official explained, “The 39-year-old victim fainted at the Sandhya Theatre, following which she was brought to Durga Bai Deshmukh Hospital for treatment.” Sadly, Revathi was declared dead on arrival.
Sri Tej, whose condition remained critical, was transferred to KIMS Hospital in Begumpet, while the condition of the other injured individuals is reportedly stable and they are receiving treatment at a private hospital. To manage the situation, police were forced to resort to a lathi charge to disperse the crowd.

Fans gathered in huge numbers outside Sandhya 70mm Theatre on December 4, eager for a glimpse of their favorite star, Allu Arjun. The event, which was scheduled to start around 10:30 p.m., became uncontrollable when Arjun made a surprise appearance, accompanied by heavy security and police.
