Sonakshi Sinha slams paps again
Actor Sonakshi Sinha has once again voiced her displeasure over intrusive paparazzi behaviour after attending Akansha Ranjan and Sharan Sharma’s wedding reception in Mumbai. As photographers continued following her all the way to her car, the actor firmly asked them to maintain their distance, marking yet another instance of her speaking out against invasive celebrity coverage.
A video from the event, now circulating on social media, shows Sonakshi trying to leave the venue while paparazzi continue filming her. Visibly irritated, she tells them, “Bas guys, abhi gaadi ke andar nahi hai. Ho gaya. Thank you. Bye. Good night.” (Enough, guys. Don’t come up to the car now. That’s enough. Thank you. Bye. Good night.)

When the photographers refused to move away, Sonakshi took a firmer stand and said, “Jab tak aap nahi jaoge, main nahi baithungi.” (I will not sit in the car until you all leave.) Her response has sparked fresh conversations online about the limits of paparazzi culture and celebrities’ right to privacy.
The incident comes just a week after Sonakshi defended her parents, veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha, from persistent photographers outside a restaurant. On that occasion, her husband Zaheer Iqbal also requested the paparazzi to stop filming. When they continued recording, Sonakshi stepped in and asked them to end the coverage.
The actress has previously criticised the growing paparazzi culture. In a 2025 interview with Zoom, Sonakshi spoke about how social media has intensified the obsession with photographing celebrities. She said it was “bizarre” that public figures are now photographed everywhere, including at funerals, adding that there should be greater respect for personal boundaries.
Sonakshi is not the only celebrity to raise concerns over intrusive photography. Recently, actor Neha Dhupia also reprimanded paparazzi at a Mumbai event over what she described as inappropriate “back shots.” She urged photographers to stop filming celebrities in disrespectful ways and reminded them that repeated requests for basic courtesy should not have to be made.
On the professional front, Sonakshi was recently seen in Nikita Roy and continues to work across films and streaming projects.
