Shahid Kapoor made a tremendous OTT debut with Farzi. After Bloody Daddy, fans have been wanting to see more of his work. The actor is all set to commence his next project soon. Shahid will be seen romancing Rashmika Mandanna in Anees Bazmee's next. The movie is said to be an action comedy, and the shoot will begin in August in Mumbai.

Reportedly, Shahid Kapoor will be seen playing a double role in the untitled project. The actor allotted his dates to the filmmaker in May 2023 and will start shooting for the action comedy on August 1.

A source close to the development made some interesting revelations. "Shahid Kapoor is very excited to do an out-and-out comedy after a long time and will commence his work on the film on August 1. He has allotted bulk dates to Anees Bazmee from August to December as the team is planning a start-to-finish schedule," said the source.

"Apart from Shahid and Rashmika, a big ensemble cast will be a part of Anees Bazmee's comedy, and an announcement will be made soon. The movie will be released next year, and the title will be revealed by July," the source further revealed.

If reports are to be believed, Anees Bazmee's action comedy will be shot against the backdrop of a royal Rajasthani Haveli.

A Mid-day report on the same said, "Anees and his technical team, including DoP Manu Anand and production designer Rajat Poddarr, scouted for locations in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Rajasthan before finalizing the desert state. In the first schedule that rolls in Mumbai, the leads will shoot indoor scenes, with the set depicting the interiors of a Rajasthani haveli."

After shooting for three weeks in Mumbai, Shahid and Rashmika, along with the other ensemble, will travel to Rajasthan to finish the shoot there.

The source further revealed, "Anees wants to do a start-to-finish schedule in the state from mid-September and complete a chunk of the film by October. Then comes the movie's most crucial schedule in Mumbai, which will involve a lot of action. If things go as planned, the project will be wrapped up by the year's end."

Anees Bazmee's untitled project brings together Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna as a fresh pair. Apart from Dil Raju, the movie also has Ekta Kapoor as one of the producers.
