In the glittering landscape of Bollywood, where established stars often dominate the box office, a refreshing phenomenon has emerged with the film Saiyaara. This romantic musical, starring two completely new faces, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has not only become one of the biggest blockbusters of 2025 but has also etched its name in history as the biggest Bollywood hit ever to feature two debutant leads.

The film`s box office prowess is undeniable. `Saiyaara` garnered ₹48 crore net in India in its first two days, adding an impressive ₹35 crore on Sunday, bringing its domestic net total to ₹84 crore and grossing over ₹101 crore. Internationally, the film has also performed exceptionally, minting over $2 million abroad.
This takes Saiyaara`s opening weekend gross close to a staggering ₹119 crore, surpassing the lifetime worldwide collection of Sunny Deol`s recent release, `Jaat` (₹118 crore). The film has also outdone Mohit Suri`s previous opening records, including `Ek Villain` (₹105.76 crore lifetime) and `Aashiqui 2` (₹78 crore lifetime), and has firmly placed itself among the top 10 highest opening weekends of 2025.

As Suri stated, "In love, there will be pain… If love is not real, it’s not felt. I believe in it more than I fantasise about it.” The film`s music, featuring chartbusters like "Saiyaara (Reprise)" and "Tum Rehte Ho," acted as a powerful "supporting act," resonating deeply with audiences and leading to viral videos of packed theatres.
The raw and sincere performances of Ahaan Panday as Krish, an aspiring musician, and Aneet Padda as Vaani, a writer grappling with early-onset Alzheimer`s, have received widespread acclaim.
