Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor once shared an amusing and heartwarming story about his school days during his appearance on Koffee With Karan. The actor revealed that securing just 54.3% marks in his Class 10 board examinations turned into a memorable family celebration because of the Kapoor family`s academic history.
Speaking with filmmaker and television host Karan Johar, Ranbir recalled that he was in the United States assisting his late father Rishi Kapoor during the filming of Aa Ab Laut Chalen when his board examination results were announced. His mother, Neetu Kapoor, collected the results back in India and was overwhelmed with happiness after learning that he had successfully cleared the exams.
The actor humorously shared that his mother`s excitement was so intense that she immediately celebrated the news. According to Ranbir, the joy wasn`t limited to his parents. His grandmother became emotional and even had tears in her eyes because he was reportedly the first Kapoor boy to pass the 10th standard without having to repeat an academic year.
When Karan Johar jokingly asked whether he was the first Kapoor son to achieve this milestone, Ranbir laughed and confirmed the family story. He even joked that this accomplishment made him "the most educated" member of the Kapoor family, making the audience burst into laughter.
Despite the humorous nature of the revelation, the anecdote remains one of the most memorable moments from the celebrity chat show and continues to entertain fans years later.
