A Ranbir Kapoor fan page shared some interesting information from the sets of Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming film Ramayana. Shooting for the film started earlier this year, and it's been reported that Ranbir Kapoor will play Lord Ram, while south Indian beauty Sai Pallavi will play his counterpart, Goddess Sita.

Ramayana Movie Announcement: Sai Pallavi may join as female lead Sita

There might be a big announcement about Sai Pallavi's role in the Ramayana epic today. On the occasion of Rama Navmi, the makers of Ramayana are planning to announce Sai Pallavi's entry as Goddess Sita in the film.

Talking about the filming of Ramayana, the X fan page wrote, 'The makers are trying to go for a very mainstream and typical representation on Ramayan, so basically nothing very different from what we've seen, at least visually, which is good, and no risks are taken, and I think we'll get the Ramayana we deserve, at least visually, which is good.'

Sai Pallavi is renowned in the South Indian film industry for her talented acting skills. Later this year, the 'Shyam Singha Roy' actress will make her Bollywood debut alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Junaid Khan. Apart from Ramayana, the actress is currently working with Aamir Khan's son, Junaid Khan, on his debut film. The shooting is reportedly halfway through, and a release is expected later this year or early 2025.

The source talked about Sai Pallavi's ethereal presence on the set and her chemistry with Ranbir Kapoor. It stated, 'Saw Sai Pallavi as Sita, and man, she looked so ethereal and beautiful. She held her presence in front of Ranbir Kapoor so well, and ngl looks pretty much like the AI version of her as Sita.'

Actor Ravi Dubey, who has previously worked in TV serials like 'Saas Bina Sasural' and '12/24 Karol Bagh', will portray the role of Ram's stepbrother, Laxman. The source wrote, 'Ravi Dubey as Laxman was so apt for the character and was the most humble on set he even smiled at me.'

Ramayana Film Cast

Ramayana is produced by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios and Kannada superstar Yash's Monster Mind Creations. Nitesh Malhotra, who is popular for his contributions to films like Aamir Khan's Dangal, Chhicchore, and Bareilley Ki Barfi, will be directing the film. The cast for Ramayana consists of Ranbir and Sai, who will play Ram and Sita KGF's Yash as Ravan Sunny Deol as Hanuman Arun Govil as Dashrath Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi and Sakshi Tanwar and Mandodari.
